Filmed entirely on location in Europe and Alaska, Taming The Bear follows Berghaus athlete Julia Pickering and her team as they train for and ascend Alaska’s ominous Mount Bear, at 14,831ft (4,520m) one of the top 20 highest mountains in the US. On the way they encounter an aviation incident, frost bite, crevasse falls, a six day storm and -45 degrees Celsius temperatures, in an attempt for the first ever snowboard descent of Mount Bear.
